The Author
DB has been reading and telling stories for as long as he/they can remember. Game Master for 8 years and text roleplayer for longer than that, they’ll be writing stuff for fun about gaming, writing, improv, acting, life-ing, and whatnot. Do they think they have any authority on these subjects? Not really, but they just want to indulge in an essay.
The Blog
What’s going to be on in this blog? Things about designing and running tabletop RPGs. Maybe a few book reviews. Maybe a few essays about anything. Anything that may be of general interest will be written on this blog. As E.B. White puts it: “The essayist is a self-liberated man, sustained by the childish belief that everything he thinks about, everything that happens to him, is of general interest…Only a person who is congenitally self-centered has the effrontery and the stamina to write essays.”
DB loves that idea of a person, and the prospect of being an essayist and storyteller, so they will write whatever they want to! They will also refer to themselves in the third person, even as they write this page. Wow.
